Heuristic ( hyo͞o 'ristik) : learning through trial-and-error or problem solving; method enabling a person to discover or learn something for themselves.
I like that it sounds like Hero. A person who is a problem solver and has persistance that though they may fail they get up in endurance and try again. - They are are Hero.
They are Heuristic.
The photo below is one that I took in Belize. It is of the Mayan ruin Lin Nit Pu. What better example of the problem solving than the Mayans? They created the Number 0 they created a calender with lunar and solor cycles, and they were a realitively peaceful people striving to gain understanding of our world. They were very Heuristic not unlike the Greeks.
